Children’s Wear

In December, the Beijing OTS and Inner Mongolia AIC announced the results of the special product quality supervision for children’s wear.

This spot check was conducted according to GB 18401-2010 “National general safety technical code for textile products,” GB 31701-2015 “Safety Technical Code for Infants and Children Textile Products” and GB/T 31888-2015 “School uniforms of primary and secondary students”.

As a result, the Beijing OTS inspected 45 batches of products and found 4 batches failed, resulting in a failure rate of 8.89%. The Inner Mongolia AIC found 42 batches failed.

Primary failed items: fiber content, use instruction, colorfastness to dry/wet rubbing,pilling resistance, dimensional stability to washing, attachment strength, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to acid/ alkali perspiration and pH value

Footwear

In December, the Beijing AIC, Inner Mongolia AIC and Jilin AIC announced the results of special product quality supervision and inspection for footwear products.

This spot check was conducted according to “Product Quality Law,” GB 20400-2006 “Leather and fur-Limit of harmful matter,” GB/T 22756-2008 “Leather sandals” and QB/T 1002-2015 “Leather shoes.”

As a result, the Beijing AIC found 6 batches failed, the Inner Mongolia AIC found 42 batches failed and the Jilin AIC checked 55 batches of shoes and found that 35 batches failed, resulting in failure rates of 63.64%.

Primary failed items: label, shanks, whole shoe flexing, delamination resistance, abrasion resistance, colorfastness to rubbing, heel attachment and formaldehyde content

Textiles and Apparel

In December, the Shanghai QTS, Guangdong QTS, Shandong QTS, Shenzhen MSA, Inner Mongolia AIC and Jilin AIC announced the results of a special product quality supervision and inspection for textiles and apparel.

The spot checks were conducted according to GB 18401 “National general safety technical code for textile products,” GB/T 5296.4-2012 “Instructions for use of products of consumer interest-Part 4: Textiles and apparel,” GB/T 29862-2013 “Textiles-Identification of fiber content,” FZ/T 73005-2012 “Low wool content and wool like knitted goods,” FZ/T 73018-2012 “Wool knitted goods,” FZ/T 73034-2009 “Semi-worsted wool knitted goods,” GB/T 2664-2009 “Men's suits and coats,” GB/T 2665-2009 “Women's suits and coats,” FZ/T 81017-2012 “Suits with no fusible interlining,” FZ/T 73020-2012” Knitted casual wear,” FZ/T 81007-2012 “Casual wear” and GB/T 22849-2014 “Knitted T-shirt.”

As a result, the Shanghai QTS checked 53 batches of sportswear and 3 of them failed, resulting in a failure rate of 5.66%, while 7 batches of 63 wool knitted goods failed, resulting in a failure rate of 11.11%, 6 batches of 60 suits and coats failed, resulting in a failure rate of 10%.

Guangdong QTS checked 50 batches of wool knitted goods and 3 of them failed, resulting in a failure rate of 6%, while 17 batches of 150 suits and coats failed, resulting in a failure rate of 11.33%.

The Shandong QTS checked 9 batches of casual pants and 18 batches of coats and found no failures. The same as Shandong QTS, no failures were found in 40 batches of swimwear according to Shenzhen MSA.

The Inner Mongolia AIC found 20 batches failed. The Jilin AIC checked 50 batches of garments and found that 11 of them failed, resulting in a failure rate of 22%.

Primary failed items: fiber content, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to acid/ alkali perspiration, pilling resistance, colorfastness to dry cleaning, colorfastness to wet/dry rubbing, colorfastness to washing and label

Bags

In December, the Shenzhen MSA announced the results of special product quality supervision and inspection for bags.

The Shenzhen MSA checked 25 batches and found that 17 batches failed, resulting in a failure rate of 68%.

Primary failed items: shock impact property, drop Impact property and label
