ChemCon The Americas is a global platform which brings together professionals and industry experts representing companies, authorities and international organizations from over 25 countries. Presentations will be given by more than 35+ speakers from government and industry. The talks will focus on international chemical legislation and will include sessions covering chemical risk assessment and management initiatives in the Americas, the EU, Asia, and Australia. Important updates will be given on TSCA reform, EU REACH, Australian NICNAS amendments and the emerging chemicals management programs in Latin America and Asia Pacific. This year’s event will offer attendees the opportunity to learn from the legislative approaches of others through real-life case studies, and registrants will gain the necessary knowledge to achieve compliance objectives for chemical control regulations.
In addition to the plenary sessions discussed above, ChemCon The Americas will offer stakeholders pre and post conference workshops and seminars providing guidance on last minute implementation steps for REACH 2018 registration; insights into the amended TSCA; and a unique "nuts and bolts" session sharing in-depth details of chemical control legislation aspects, useful tools and business examples on how to become organized.

- Presentation: Canada - Canadian Chemicals Management Plan - Continuity and Evolution
- Highlights of the CMP and past success will be provided
- CMP 3, 5-year phase, and challenges and areas of expected continuity and evolution will be discussed
Session 12, February 8th | Global Approach to New Chemicals and Polymers
- Presentation will discuss data requirements and development of a global test program
- Industry examples of implementing a global test program will be provided
- Expertise on re-using test data between different notification systems
