In recent years, the European regulatory landscape for food contact materials has changed considerably, especially when it comes to the number of amendments on the Commission Regulation (EU) No 10 /2011 for plastic food contact materials (FCM).
In 2018, additional provisions were implemented for the use of Bisphenol A in food contact materials.
In this white paper, the key elements of the recently published amendments will be covered. In addition, we will summarize the most important regulations or guidelines that are in place for materials that are not covered by an harmonized European regulation.
Finally, the different steps towards compliance for your materials or articles and your responsibility in the supply chain will be discussed.
