Intertek Class P Program for LED Light Engines
Intertek has expanded its Class P program to include LED light engines, allowing luminaire manufacturers faster, simpler product certification at reduced costs.
Typically, luminaire manufacturers’ only option for LED light engines are standard Recognized devices that require additional evaluation for changes made by the manufacturer. With Intertek’s Class P program for LED light engines, manufacturers can now source and incorporate different LED light engines of the same Class P Listed rating into lighting products without retesting each time a new light engine is used.
