Intertek and MIDH to Co-build Public Testing Service Platform in GMTCM (Guangdong Macau Traditional Chinese Medicine Technology) Industrial Park

Intertek, a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, today announces that it has entered a strategic partnership with Macau Investment and Development Hengqin Limited (MIDH). The partnership, which was signed at the 2017 China (Macao) Traditional Chinese Medicine International Cooperation Forum, will see the two parties co-build a testing service platform at the Guangdong-Macao Traditional Chinese Medicine Technology Industrial Park (“GMTCM Park”), to serve Guangdong, Macao and Hong Kong. On the day of the signing ceremony, Mr. Liang Witte, Financial Secretary of the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region met Mr. Bai Xueli, CEO of Intertek China and other delegates of Intertek.
MIDH is a Hengqin New Area based investment company established by the Government of Macao SAR. MIDH are primarily responsible for investment and project development of the GMTCM Park. The core objectives of the park are to develop into an “International TCM Quality Control Base” and an “International Health Industry Exchange Platform”. The new joint venture in the park will focus on the building of a public testing service platform which will serve enterprises based in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and support those businesses gain access to global markets by leveraging the professionalism, rich experience and reputation of Intertek in the testing and certification industry.
