Polymer Seminar

Polymer stabilization and degradation seminar: analytics and processing, from industry experts. Tuesday 27 November, 2018, Pratteln, Switzerland.

Polymer materials, when deployed in a wide range of industries will be subjected to a wide range of variables in their daily use. These can range from extreme fluctuations in temperature, weather, gases, physical forces and stresses which may cause irreversible change to the properties of the material over time. However, with applied knowledge and testing procedures, and implementation of stabilization strategies, performance and regulatory compliance expectations will be achieved.

This seminar - 'Introduction to Stabilization of polymers, its Analytics and some Regulations aspects' will cover fundamental challenges facing those within the polymer industry, focusing on polymer properties and rheology parameters, polymer heat and light stabilization systems as well as illustrating the roots and causes of polymer degradation via informative and engaging case studies. Further insight into an evolving industry will be provided in the form of analysis of recycled polymers and polymer additives in plastics, and delve into the topics of bioplastics as well as the phenomenon of microplastics from the perspective of our key researchers.

Why should you attend?
Our technical experts have extensive experience in the stabilization and testing of polymers, and will share their knowledge to help address some of the major industry challenges of polymer application.

The seminar is ideal for industry representatives who are aware of these topics but would like to learn more about the stabilization of polymers, polymer additives and analytics, for Research and Development specialists, Technical Managers, Production Technicians and Laboratory Managers who are working either to develop, process or manufacture polymers and plastics.

Additionally, participants are welcome to attend our laboratories - located close to the venue - after the event.
