IEC 62841 Series: Tool Testing & Certification

IEC 62841 addresses the safety of electric, motor-operated, or magnetically driven tools with provisions for hand-held tools, transportable tools, and lawn and garden machinery. Since more and more products in this category are transitioning to battery power, the IEC 62841 standard series has addressed hazards associated with Battery Systems.

As the first in a series of IEC 62841 fact sheets, this document gives an overview of the standard and testing requirements, as well as the testing considerations for batteries, including those implemented by Annex K.
