Since early 1980s, Intertek has built its PPE Centre of Excellence in Cortland, NY, USA to test and certify hockey helmets. Our PPE capabilities soon expanded to eyewear, safety goggles, face shields, oven gloves, swimming aids, safety footwear, sports accessories, protective clothing, firefighter clothing, face masks, gowns, etc.

Intertek’s UK PPE Centre of Excellence is the approved body for UKCA certifications. Italy PPE Centre of Excellence is the Notified Body for CE certifications of PPE and Sweden PPE Centre of Excellence is the Certification Centre for Medical Devices. To date, we operate 14 PPE Centres of Excellence across Asia, Europe and Americas, providing industry-leading Total Quality Assurance of PPE around the world, 24/7.
